Here's a matching rollerball/fountain pen set made on a Virage kit, with red Mallee burl. Finished with Doctor's Woodshop Pens Plus Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice Red Mallee Burl, John.
Great Set, seems you are fond of Australian Burls.
I would prefer to also see photographs of the Pens with their Caps fitted and posted, so that I can see the full profile of the Pens in their entirity, if at all possible.
Brian.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Yes, I love Australian burls, Brian! The grain and colors are just amazing. I also love to use if for bowls and platters. I'll try to add a photo with the cap on (I'm still learning this site).

My source for the Australian burls is Fred Rodgers, up in Calgary. IMHO, he has the nicest Australian (and others) burl pen blanks.

Take care,

John

Brian, is there some way to edit my post and add a picture with the caps on?

Thank you for your help.

John, I haven't added a photograph to a thread.
Looking I think you do it from the Tab "Add Reply" on the bottom left of the thread screen.
A window appears "Reply to Thread". Add your message. Select "Attach Files" Select "Manage Attachments" select "Upload File from your Computer".

Perhaps you might like to give it a try, and we may both see how it works.
regards,
Brian.

Yes, you can edit your posts and add attachments.

I also love Australian Burls. The shape of the pen is also very nice. Different - I LIKE it! Nice job.

OK, Brian. Here goes!

Everyone else, I am trying to add another picture to my post. It was suggested I do it this way. I apologize in advance if I mess things up.

Fantastic John,
It Worked, One for the good guys.
It is so much easier when you see the fully assembled pen, gives more scope to appreciate the blanks and recognise impact.
On the Virage kit how close to the finial diameter is your cap blank diameter?
The pen looks a little bulging (much like me, though I am more than a little bulging)
Can the diameters of the cap and the body be smaller?
As I think that like me, it would look a lot sharper, if it was a little slimmer, and the Blank diameters closer to the Cap and Body critical hardware diameters.

Great work,
Congratulations.
Brian.
