My wife wanted something fun...and she likes lady bugs. So a quick soft grip pen using maple and a few lady bugs! Really quick and easy. Found some decals that are thinner than the wet/slide versions. A few coats of CA and done.

Great looking pen. I've got a lady bug lady here and I may steal your idea.

You mentioned decals that are extra thin? Can you send the link or resource?

Thanks, Gordon

here is the link. They have all sorts of designs. The thickness is about 25 microns and the designs mostly hang on with surface tension. I put the decal on the pen and then pressed it on with a paper towel that has a few drops of thin CA on it.

Great idea Rich. Looked at your web site. The scalloped cigar is pretty cool. How long did it take to do the glue ups?

It took a few hours to cut, glue, rinse and repeat... and there was more waste than I imagined!
