PVC pipe and Dad's ideas.

Picked up a couple of PVC pipe blanks at the meeting. I wondered what we could do with it and suggested a red inlay. Bright red. Dad cooked up the pattern for it and did most of the work making it happen. The barrel got drilled out oversized, making it a salvage job, basically, but now I have a carry pen. Another Brooks "oops" blank was used for the bright red. I have the rest of the blank for centerbands.

The shape and colors give it a nice "retro" look; I like it!

The shape cries for it to be a ringtop, though.

While I don't know what a ringtop is (sounds kinda nasty), I was thinking oldschool medical equipment from the 50's when I though of putting the two colors together.
