For those who remember my early mica swirls, this blank found a customer.

I call the pen kit the Axminster ('cos that's where it was bought). The cap clips onto either end of the body. It really is a terrible photo. I keep promising to work on that, don't I?

Here's the blank sitting alongside a spalted mango blank which was my other project at the time.

Here are a few photos of another PR mica swirl sing the same kit:

It's a nice kit. Feels good for some reason to be able to clunk the cap off!

The purple one is very good, but my fav is the second one. No, I can not name the color but, it is an eye catcher. Good job on both.

Thanks. Can't decide if I like the barrel cut parallel (like teh second one) or bulbous (like the first). Next time, I might try purposely undercuting so the barrel is the same diameter as the cap and making a real feature of the bands.

Better (?) Photos

Those original photos weren't great. I'm not saying these are, but I'm trying to show off the irridescent blank.

Thefirst one looks out of focus, but the focus is actually on the barrel.

As ever, click for enlargements.
