Purple Heart

I made this pen for my father,he is US ARMY Retired served in Vietnam and received two purple hearts there.

The shell is from Fred Wissen, the wood is two pieces of purple heart with maple in the middle. It has two tubes, one for a slim line and the second tube cut so the Tantra Stylus would fit in it. Once the pen was turned I sanded and then I printed out a purple heart decal and mounted it on the blank, and let it dry overnight. I then put on 5 coats ofCA Glue micro meshing between each application. Then finished it out of the buffing wheel.
