You have all seen White Oak Jack Daniels blanks from barrels, Scotch blanks barrels, Wine blanks barrels. The provenance of these blanks isn't quite so grand. They are made from the lid of the toilet seat from my shop. My memory isn't what it used to be but I am pretty sure some well known butts have sat on this oak.

I turned them into 3 veneer serpentine blanks. These are two I finished. White Oak blank with ebony/maple, mahogany/ebony. CA finish.

Great Pens and Blanks, Terry.
Raised to Great Heights, from Humble Beginnings.
Love your Serpentine Blanks.
Excellent Fit, and as the Eternal Question Goes "Finished yet?"
Now don't get Flushed with all this Praise.
Sorry I just couldn't help myself.
Congratulations,
Brian.

Just got through using my T-Seat, time to get out the alumilite and make some blanks. Wonder what kind of trim would go with dark brown?
