Productive Day

Got the grass mowed and finished some pens. Here are two of them. The first pen is a label casting of a lighthouse photo that I took after hiking to the top of Diamondhead in Oahu. I used curly mango with the photo since it is a Hawaiian wood. I am not sure if the wood and photo are the right match. The bolt action was made with reclaimed american chestnut from a board from an old barn. The dark streaks are from weathering. I think it gives the chestnut some character.

Both are nice but I like the lighthouse pen! Cool idea.
