The problem with photographing pens is keeping the grain lined up both with the nib exposed or hidden. This problem also occurs when displaying the pen at shows.
Well, problem solved with this pen:

There is now way this grain can become misaligned. Click pen is 10K gold with a one piece olive barrel.

Cool idea! I might try that with a contrasting segment for a faux centerband to enhance the shoulder transition.

Larry, that's a great idea, nice to see something new on a long click, it's been a favorite pen of mine but I was getting tired of a straight of slightly contoured barrel. the two piece look is sharp.
