Something different. Pro-X ballpoint - spalted hackberry - from Jon David Jones Signature Pen. Solid feel, interesting design, a good every day use pen. I put in a Parker gel refill (my preference). This may become very popular soon.
(note - using Parker gel refills, they are a little shorter than the generic ball point ones that come with the kit. Either shave a little off the Pro-X tube or use a PSI bolt action tube for more extension out of the nib.)
