So went to Little Rock today by way of invite from some local pen turners. Didn't know what to expect as far as activities or anything - but had a great time. I met some great guys and gals, saw some amazing blank materials (bought a few rods), and learned a bit about casting. Very cool stuff.
Here's the product of the blue PR I got from these guys. The pictures don't do them justice. Stunning stuff.

Here's muh pen.
Really happy with how it turned out for the most part - still working on caps and finials and all that good stuff.

I'll take some better pics in the lightbox tomorrow - I'm tired.

And here I show it posted, although it's not too secure.

And a tiny bit of a gap due to the cap end not being square.

Very cool. I nominate you for a demo on hidden clips at the next meeting:wink:.

If everyone doesn't know by now, you have only been making pens for a couple of months (Jan 4th I think you said), and have never made a kit pen. That's mind blowing to me.

Thanks Bob! Making the two part cap is a total pain - but I can try to do a demo if you all would like. I'll have some more practice in so it shouldn't take much more than an hour and a half or so.
