It was amazing to see 40 beautiful pens entered into the Pretty Wood Pen contest! I knew from the beginning that my maple burl was just not spectacular enough to compete, and I was pleasantly surprised to place 6th. Of all the pens I've turned I'd have to say that the Jr. Abraham has the most striking design and I thought it looked great with the maple burl.

Congrats to everyone for turning out some magnificent pens!

Well, I don't really agree with you and I believe, every species of wood have its own beauty. Furthermore, most wood species are capable to produce some very rare pieces of totally stunning wood in grains and colours and if you consider the number of "pretty woods out there that one could make a pen from/with, your choice was a good one regardless of what position/place it got in the challenge...!

What really matters is that you felt confident to enter the challenge with one of your own made pens and that you are satisfied with what you've done, the rest is all not as important.

I like what you've done...!

Cheers

Beautiful pen and workmanship. Your picture taking skills are great too! The Abraham is my favorite pen kit lately. I love the manly lines and embellishments.
