Hey all! This is the first time I have tried a CA finish and I think it turned out quite nicely (was nervous and held off for as long as I could).

This is a piece of stabilized clear box elder burl matched with a Presimo kit.

Thanks for looking!

Take care!

On the spots where the catch lights actually reflect off the finish it looks to be a fine job of a CA finish. Now the trick is to be able to reproduce it every time. You will undoubtedly develop a technique that is unique to you, probably a combination of techniques you have viewed or read about with just subtle little changes. That is how I started, then my nature took over and I had to reinvent the wheel. Now I do a CA like no one else I have yet to see or read about. For me it is easy and it works. You keep up the good work and break out of that comfort zone more. That's where things start getting fun.
