This is the Post Graduate pen from PSI, in chrome. The blank is a Kirinite called Patriot. I've wanted to turn one of these blanks for a while now, and it's absolutely stunning! I absolutely love the pearl in the blue. It is my favorite of the patriotic blanks I've turned, by far. Even though the pen is a little top heavy, it feels good in my hand. I like a pen with heft.

I love that pen you have shown with its patriotic blank !!!! Thank you.

I believe this is a new kit for PSI, and I always look at the instructions. In my opinion, PSI does a great overall job in presenting instructions; their kit instructions are more complete and detailed than for any other pen kit company. I particularly like the way they specify bushing dimensions for their kits using a diagram at the end of the verbal instructions.

Sometimes, however, as with any published information, there is a mistake or a point that needs clarification.

If you look at the instructions for the Post Graduate, you will notice a discrepancy in the stated tip bushing size, comparing Diagram B (which refers to the tip bushing as the smaller bushing used for the 8mm barrel) and Diagram C which states that the two bushings for the 8mm barrel are the same size of 0.475".

Having made a Post Graduate, can you please tell us which is correct and what is the actual size of the tip bushing. Thanks.

I think they're saying that the tip bushing is the smaller of the two small bushings. Both ends of both bodies are the same size. I turned the bottom body straight, and left a slight bulge in the upper body.
