I know the little, tiny pine cones are "old hat" to most, but they are great fun to cast and turn! I used Alumilite Clear along with blue, black and white dyes and some white micro-pearl Pearl-ex. The finish is CA, 12 coats to be exact. Wet sanded with MM to 12,000.

C&C are welcomed, as usual.

That's awesome Mark. Tell me do you have some advice on how to make swirls and what are some of the main techniques?

Pointy objects!

Somebody out there probably has a better way of doing this, but I simply just use an "awl" or something pointed like a screw driver, etc. and just poke around and swirl the resin in-between the cones. You can get different results by waiting for the resin to set up a bit…not too long though!

I sometimes grow tired of the pine cone pens but this one is superb! It has just enough of the pine cone without it dominating the design. I love the swirls you infused into the design.

Very well done on both fronts ... the casting and the execution!
