A Polymer Chemist's Pen!

A quickie before I finish another non-pen lathe project. tonight.

Beautiful blank from PTownSubbie. My wife requested this a while back. She works for a company that makes PVC and she wanted an unfinished Polymer Clay pen to show her co-workers at the plant another application (I'm thinking this will be the first of many after she flashes it to her Chemist co-workers).

Actually, when she requested an "unfinished" pen, that evening I handed her the blank and the kit in it's bag... She was NOT amused!!!

As requested, this is Micro Mesh wet sanded through 12K.

I really like the way it looks - the matte finish is actually very nice.

The blank is beautiful and it looks very nice with that hardware. I like the matte finish also. I do have to agree with Ed that the fit is off.

I really like that component choice for this blank. If you never make any mistakes when you are turning it is likely you are not turning much. Still looks great...
