Goofing with more clay. There are times when I have no clue what I'm going to do then wind up with something. This is one of those times. The form, the finished pen, and with the left over from the same .....a mutated mushroom with a tail. Crazy......
The knots were an afterthought where I turned the roll sideways, sliced a hole, and mushed it in there. There's more knots on the other side but you get the idea. Kind of funny in the end. Enjoy.

Poly clay is only limited to your imagination.
Change the colors to browns and it will look like wood.

You're not suppose to smike the mushrooms when working on the lathe!

Mushroom needs some of those stick on bug eyes and bright red lips...Pen looks great.

Looks Great! Those colors really work well together. Man I hope my wife doesn't see this one. I don't have enough extra time to try my hand at polymer. Thanks for Sharing!

Good looking pen and mushroom !!! If the mushroom was large enough, I would have pushed the pen in the top to form a pen stand. Keep them coming !!! Jim S

The mushroom made me think of the caterpillar smoking his hookah from Alice in Wonderland.
