Here are a few pens + a pencil that I have been working on this weekend.
First up is a pen + pencil set that are made using bullets/casings that I drilled out myself, then fitted the tubes and used cross cut Cocobolo from John.M.

Next up a couple of the Ankrom Exotics blanks fitted on streamlines, first up is the mica black with silver/gold and copper...

I have to say a MASSIVE thank you for the blanks, the Cocobolo is a pain to finish(for me anyway, cos it always seems to dull:rolleyes:) BUT is an absolutely georgeous timber.
And the resins are a real treat to turn as they have sooo much depth to the colours that my photographs never do any justice,sorry..

I think the oil in the Cocobolo could be causing the finish to dull. Have you wiped the blank with acetone or dna before finishing? I think acetone and dna are pretty much the same thing.
