I made this out of cocobolo that I thought would be real dark but I kind of like what the wood did. I know it was'nt me. Thanks for looking and of course critques are always welcome.

Tom, it looks great! Very good fit!. FYI, next time, if you leave the Cocobolo out in the sun for a while (1/2 hour to an hour) before you apply your finish, the Cocobolo will darken. Personally, I like the lighter colored Cocobolo and do my best to find pieces like yours, but you mentioned something about darker wood.

My pens are made from animals,not have pictures of animals in them.
How'd you do that?

I'll try to answer the questions.
The finish is BLO,CA and friction polish with TSW.
I am in the SE corner of Kansas about 180 miles East of Wichita.
Eagle if I told you how I did that ....Well you know the rest[;)]
Actully thats just the way it came out. Kind of neet.

That is a great looking pen! The beaver looks cool too. [:)] Odds are, the cocobolo will darken with exposure to air and sunlight.
