This is the PITH I sent to WoodLM that he received a couple days ago. It is a gold CSUSA apprentice Jr Gent II roller ball with cotton wood burl. This was a challenge for me personally because of the eyes that all opened up and had to be back filled with shavings. There was a knot which I had to fill as well as a crack in a knot. I did a CA finish on it using a couple thin coats and about 8 medium. I tossed in a few blanks which I don't have a picture of. Even though it wasn't what I wanted to do, it was still challenging for me to keep the wood together on this one. C&C welcome. Pictures aren't the best I know.

I love it!

I really love knotty/cracked/wormy wood.

I know that took some patience!

GOOD JOB

Thanks! I have had a few blanks like that blowup on me. I was very relieved when that one turned out okay. Normally I start with the cap because if it's going to fail on me, it is normally that part for some reason. On this pen though, the tip body was the most challenging.
