Attached are the photos of the pen made for Reid Klion (RK1468) in the 2011 PITH. No, I didn't make the blank. The pen blank was made by Keith Larrett (VisExp) on the IAP. He is a superb maker of blanks! In the 2008 IAP Birthday Bash I won one of the daily Trivia contests and the prize was a package of blanks from Keith. He had several nice blanks PLUS four of his custom segmented blanks. I had neither the tools nor the experience to turn those at that time so I sat on them for nearly four years. I decided it was time to risk one! So, I decided to pay it forward and gave the blank for PITHhttp://www.penturners.org/photos/index.php?n=20786 http://www.penturners.org/photos/index.php?n=20787 .

Great work, Freddie!!

Keith is a "flat woodworker" who knows how to translate many techniques to the world of penmaking. He was a big asset to the IAP when he was active here!

I don't blame you for being cautious when turning---but "ya did good"!!
Then, giving it away for the PITH???? I believe you are a more generous man than I!!

LOL... Spoken by the man who has given away a gazillion "yippee freebies." But thanks. It's a lot more fun to be generous!
