The pen was delivered a week ago so I think it's ok to post now. I turned some Home Depot pine and put it on a Jr. Gent. This is the 18th pen I've made so far and was a big challenge. The first one I tried dyeing and it was terrible but turned well. The next one I used THE blank and it cracked. I mixed some paint and CA to fix the crack and it was ugly. Then I assembled it wrong. The third is what I ended up with. I'll post the Cracked one first (leaning left) then the final one (leaning right). All finished with CA, MM, Novus 2 polish then carnuba wax.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Jorge (oh, the same birth name as me...!!!):)

Now, how much prettier does one want a Pine pen, to be, huh...???

I agree that the first one with the crack painted, didn't work that well but, you last attempt was done in a very pretty Pine blank, that I find very similar with some of my "Knotty pine" wood...!

The fit, finish and kit are spot-on, a good job all around, well done.

Cheers
George
