This the pith pen jthompson1995 sent me. It is a beautifully crafted black ti cigar composed of figured maple and Turkish walnut. The segmenting is clean and very crisp with a very nice symmetrical design. he pen is finished in what looks to me like a c.a finish (still new at this so not sure how many finishes there are). The grain gives off a nice glow in the light. Almost like a pearl. The pen all in all is very beautiful and I appreciate it very much. He was also nice enough to send the pen with a box of stuffing to keep the pen from moving around.

Nice looking pen! Since you are new to this, you now have a pen to use as an example of setting as a goal for quality in your pen making.

I'm glad you like the pen. And yes, it is a CA (no BLO) finish.

Don't let anyone saying you're new at this discourage you. I've seen photos of your pens and you've got quite a bit of talent. I'm waiting as patiently as I can to get your pen in the mail. I'm sure it will be great.
