Katie was so excited to get started on this pen. The first blank she picked was a Brooks blank of blue and green. It was such a beautiful blank, but she has the luck I have with Jonathon's blanks. So we moved on to a Trustone blank and I showed he a bit of segmenting fun. We had a ton of fun together on this. And here is the result.

She had a great time making this with daddy. This is he third pen, and she did great with the turning. She was very insistent on doing as much as possible.

Tell her great job. I wish I could get my son to make one. He's 13 and is still afraid of getting near a spinning lathe. :)

wonderful! She looks so proud of herself. Great job Katie! Sorry to hear you had trouble with one of my blanks. Your dad knows if you need another all you gotta do is ask

That is one nice looking pen. And the look on her face tells you all you need to know if it was the right thing or not to include these wonderful kids.
