Hello guys,

Just received my pith from JohnR today, when we talked, I found that he's been turning for about eight months and the pith I sent him had 40 pieces individually glued. He upped his game and tried his first segmented and it turned out great. even added some aluminum in to the mix. Rather gutsy for a first timer. So with that said, thank you John and may your skills keep improving. He had also included a pen light to which I wasn't expecting. And both look really good.

Once again, you did a great job and thank you.

Glad you like 'em, Tim. I had fun making them for sure.

I'm still scratching my head on how you glued and clamped (or whatever) all those pieces and got them to stay put.

Super Job! Is that a Lucite blank?

Hey Charlie,

The light is a "Lava Bright" blank from Penn State Industries, that's the orange and gold.

The pen is purpleheart and I have no idea what the other wood is - I just liked the looks of the grain and the coloration looked like it would contrast well with the purpleheart.
