I am the VERY PROUD recipient of a PITH pen from Gary at G1Pens.
First, I have to say that my pictures do not do this pen justice. The material for this pen came from a 100+ year old house in South Georgia. According to Gary, it has no real history other than the fact the wood is estimated to be more than 300 years old. As you can see Gary also did a little scroll work to the blank and it has green and brown polymer clay inserted in it to represent the Long Leaf Yellow Pine Tree. The finish is CA, the blank was sanded to 600 and then buffed. Gary also included a few other species of blanks that I will be happy to turn.
Gary, I want to say thank you and you could not have chosen a better kit for me. I love the Cigar and I love the tight grain of this pine (never thought I would put that in print). I will carry this with pride.
Thanks again,
Grant
