Got a few pieces of Bruyere from a pipe-maker friend and yesterday was ascension day,today was a work free bridge day, so what do you do. Pens

2x Shakespeare Roller and fountain: Italian Bruyere
2x Omega Roller and Fountain: Italian Bruyere
1x Slender Fountain: Maroccan Bruyere
And a pencil using Stainless steel Flexitube

Very, very nice work. The briar is beautiful, but I have to agree with Mal about the SS Flexitube. It's just unusual enough to stand out.

These tubes are normally used for Solar Thermal Heat Exchangers and are easily available in meter lengths.

The tubes sizes are in mm:

Inside 8, Outside 12

Inside 10, Outside 14,5

inside 12, Outside 16

I recently found some similar tubing (also in about 1 meter length) that is for gas. But it is painted yellow and I don't want that. I want stainless if I can get it.

What size stainless steel did you use on the pencil you made and pictured ?

Thanks, I have a water based silk - finish clear varnish that is usable for childrens toys and resistant against Saliva and Sweat.

The siz I used has a intern 12mm and is known in English as "stainless steel annular pipe".

Just made a series of various Stainless pens, You gotta try everything, Sunday is Hobby Market so we`ll see.
