Pinecone .308's

I made these today for a co-worker he wants 6 total, but this is all I had time for today. The tops are pine cone with a CA finish, the bottoms are .308 casings that I got from the local range and the bullets I got from Gary Max. The clips are from PSI, I like these much better than the other ones.

Little jack stands? I thought these were giant pens (ie 308 not .308! ):biggrin::biggrin:

They came with a di-cast craftsman tool box that I bought.

They are just CA, I trimmed them down, soaked them pretty good with CA then cut them to length and drilled them. once drilled I soaked the inside of them with thin CA before installing the tubes. Then I just turned with a sharp finger nail gouge down to rough shape and finished with a skew.

Thanks Ken, Every body that orders them seems to think they look like feathers and go hand in hand with bullets. So as long as they are buying I just keep letting them think that way. :wink:
