Here is one with a pineapple design or maybe diamond whichever you prefer to call it. The wood is olivewood with a lacquer finish.

I used my Legacy machine. I am just trying different ideas on the machine.

cool texture... nice way to "spruce" up a dull looking piece of wood.

Looks nice. I'd try a thinner and less deep design and inlay with stone or even paint.

Radman, The first one I did I did like you said but the bit I have is too big. I am having a smaller bit made so that I can fill in with some epoxy and brass filings I got from a key company. I tried to paint the first one but the cut was to uneven to get a good job.Try and try again.
