Just joined up and thought I would say hi and post a couple of my pine cone pens, I just got started turning and I am trying new things.

Great looking pens. My Wife and I have turned our share of pine cones, But your really look good. Keep up the good work. Sky's the limit.

2 questions.
1. are the pine cones cast in resin first?
2. i live in hawaii would any one want to trade pine cone blanks for koa blanks?

Yea real nice job I like doing pine cones also. Done them just about everyway you can. And I still like the core like yours nicely done.

That Pine Cone looks great! Beautiful colors in there. How was it to work with? Did you cast it in to resin or finish it with CA?
