Now that is something different. I like it very much. and I second the question about steaming the wood. this is the sort of stuff I want my whole display made of. not only do the pens capture attention. but the display itself does. Add one notch to your gouge handle for that one.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Well, I wish I could claim I'd steamed and bent the wood, but I didn't. I researched bending wood and laminating wood, and will try both. I think a lamination of maple and walnut could be very pretty.

This rack was made by cutting the two pieces from a 2" thick piece of maple. I have a friend that makes gunstocks, and he gives me some really nice wood that he sees as scrap.
