This is the first attempt at a new wood for me, and my first Zen pen. The wood I really like a lot, the pen kit is not too bad either. I finished the wood with 15 coats of thin CA and the micro meshed to 12000 and followed up with a quick buff and some Ren wax. Thanks Dario for the beautiful wood.

Funny thing about this pen, when I look at the pictures of it, I am not crazy about the kit, but when it is in my hand I like it a lot better. I can't be too critical on the kit since I sold 2 of them tonight, this one and one that will be finished tomorrow.

So thats what my persimmon will look like. Love the wood and the finish but not sold on the kit. My problem is with the abrupt drop off to the nib from the body of the blank. When its closed i like it.

I like the wood, but I'm with the others on the kit.
Looks like my high school math teacher's pants. He pulled them up
to within 3 inches of his chin..

Beautiful pen Neil , I like the looks of these kits . Lots of room to show off a beautiful blank .
I just got my order from Dario today and I can't wait to turn one of them .
