Pheasant Jr. Statesman

[OKLAHOMAN]

A few weeks ago I had asked JohnnyU (John Underwood) if he would make me a few Jr. Blanks as I don't do Sierra's or E/B's. I received them this week and this is the first one I've done. As always all comments appreciated. In the next week or so I will be posting a photo of a pheasant pen done a little bit different so stay tuned. (Hint it takes 3:wink.

Played with the lighting, this is pretty close to the color

Nice but not very colorful. Perhaps I was thinking of some other feather pens I have seen in the past.

Beautiful pen. The muted colors of the feathers make for a classy pen.

Looks Great Roy! Its hard to capture the color in the feathers with a photo without putting a glare on the clear resin around them. I usually position a corded light over the blanks and move around until I can keep the color and minimize the glare. These are gold and green to the guys that dont think theres much color. Roy, after seeing it, I definately have to make more so I can turn one myself. Beautiful job!
