After swearing off making pens a few months ago, I saw some of my great grand daughters penstriping work, and asked if he could do that on a 3/8ths diameter tube. He said he would try. So I gave him a Sierra tube already painted with Dark Red Metallic model paint.

I think he did well with the first one. I asked Mike Drake (MRducks2) if he would cast it for me. He did a great job in doing so. Thanks Mike!

So here it is. The first of more to come.

As I said in the other thread - Very nice! The hand-painted art work is excellent.

I believe you got something here! Many different designs with Auto pinstriping that are adaptable for pen tubes.

Thanks for sharing. (Maybe you should reconsider turning JUST A FEW more pens!).

Thanks again Mark. It's been awhile since I've posted pen photos...I guess I got carried away. But thought both forums would be appropriate just this one time.

Yes, there are more ideas in this mans mind, and he says he will paint more for me. I didn't mind turning this one at all.

If you find something you like turning, all is well.

It turned out great, Chuck. I think the kit goes well with the blank.

Casting was the easy part. Just happy I didn't mess up my first tube-in cast, especially since it wasn't mine!

Glad you cranked one out and even happier you enjoyed it. As you know, my shop is your shop so anything you need.
