Recently completed 25 pens for the elections division of our Secretary of States office to be given to the electoral college members. The only thing they said was, they wanted pens that were made with components that were made in the USA. Thanks to Constant at Lazerlinez, he made it possible and they were well pleased with the pens. I used wood that were native or found in Louisiana.

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. Tim, on the bottom of each box I put a label with the name of the wood used for each pen. Plus, one of the pens, the wood was from the Louisiana State Champion Loblolly Pine tree which had to be taken down due to disease. The lumber company that owned the land that the tree was on, had the tree dated back to 1779. They took a cross section of the trunk and had a sculpture made with it that had the rings labeled that corresponded with important dates in Louisiana history and presented this to the Louisiana State Museum. I included all that information plus the newspaper article with the pen. I sure that the pen, along with the history of the wood will make a nice gift for the person who gets it.
