Default Pens #4-6

Still working on getting shapes the same on double barrel pens. For the life of me I canít get it the same. Oh well guess I have to keep practicing 😁. #5 and #6 were my first attempts at casting blanks and turning them.... I feel that the casting will be as addictive as the turning lol.

Keep up the good work !!

Shaping seems ok except, perhaps, for the blue one. . But your shaping will improve as you master the lathe tool manipulation skills. . Keep at it !!

Besides ... there are no hard and fast rules about shaping ... it's all good !!

Kids rule the world !!! .... eventually if not already !

Calipers are a good way of making sides even if that is your goal.

I would offer that the profiles are pretty good. Yes the middle one is not as matched, but for your first ones, pretty darn nice. I'd love to have most of my first 20-30 back so that I could swap them out for nicer ones.
Check out the
IAP Collection

The IAP Collection is a permanent collection of pens
that has been established from the
IAP Membership explicitly for the purpose of
public display, preservation and inspiration.
