Nice, is it very bright? I have though about trying one of these but some people say that the on/off mechanism is unreliable. Any input?

I have been using two of them quite a bit. No problem with reliability. I found on ebay, LED bulb replacements. Definitely took them up a notch in brightness.

Thanks guys. The bulb isn't too bad for light but an LED would be an improvement. This one seems to work just like pen lights did when I was a kid, you have to fiddle with it to get it going. Penn State now has a LED version that I would buy in the future.

Sorry, I just re-read you question about the reliability. The switch seems fine it is the grounding of the light bulb that seems to be having issues.
