I am new to turning (two months) Here is my latest. Have turned about 15 pens. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Looks like you're off to a stellar start. More polish would definitely help. If you aren't familiar with MicroMesh, I highly recommend it. Does wonders for making a high gloss finish.

Looks good to me. Question on the cap-Is it straight or does it curve at the finial?

What blank is that?

Ya it looks over sanded just below the finial. Second the micro mesh! I though "who the heck is gonna notice if I dont use it?" EVERYONE! Your finish is 90% of the game and its amazing what will show under sunlight!

yep, wet sand with micromesh and PP for final polishing and you'll have a totally different pen, excellent start for two months turning

I'm catching a hint of a white flake in the resin near the finial that looks to me like it's just messing with the light rather than being over-sanded. Just my 2 cents on that issue.
