This is what I came up with for Brian (texasbatons). It is my first attempt at anything closed end. It is a churchill that has bee step drill. Still need to work on the taper a bit more so that the cap posts better.

Wow! Very cool! That's one beautiful pen. Can't wait to see it in person.

Here's the pen for Alan that I put in the mail this morning. My first attempt at a rollerball.

Jr Gent II (I like the kit). The wood is pecan (state tree of Texas). The body of the pen has an inlay of black cherry that was from a tree felled by Katrina 2 years ago today. The lining between the layers is aluminum (a cleaned up Coke can). CA/BLO finish.

Hope you like it, Alan. It surely can't compete with your pens, but I enjoyed the email exchanges during the past few weeks and learned a few things along the way!
