This pen is one of those that doesn't really look all that great but it has an interesting story (at least to me:biggrin:).

It is made from a peice of the crib that my brother (now 34) and I used when we were babies. My parents gave it to my brother to use with his daughter and when my brother was packing to send it home from his US Navy time in San Diego the crib literally fell apart. Being the good brother that he is, he said "Hey, these things are about the right size for Mason to make a pen!" and brought them to me. So, here is Mom's sentimental Christmas gift!

There are a lot of nice beautiful pens out there and I realize the time and work that goes into them. That being said the ones I like most to give to others are the ones that have a "Story" to go with them. Job well done. P.S. although the wood pattern maybe plain the design and workmanship are great.
