Pen from a Stick

We were camping with some friends this weekend. I climbed into a stream bed to take a picture of the group on one of our hikes. Well it turned out to be much harder then I expected to get back out. I ended up walking through some deep water and climbing out on a tree that had fallen into the gully. During this whole time, everyone else on the trip had plenty of advice; most of which started with you shouldn't have climbed in to begin with...

This Artisan was made from a stick my daughter pulled off the fallen tree. I'm not sure it qualifies as "best work", but it was fun to make and will always have a great story.

too sweet! there was alot of character hiding in that little branch. Are you gonna give it to the daughter that picked it up? Or maybe display it with the stick ,and photos. nice conversation piece, especially at a show!

Thanks for all the comments/kind words.

The only thing I did different was put CA on the end before drilling and then again after squaring the end. I also started sanding much earlier than normal.
