This pen is the one that started the beading and playing around with the scrap.

This pen started out as a Pen Swap project. I was kicking around in the garage trying to figure out what I wanted to turn. I saw the parts of a segmented Baby Rattle that I'm putting together for a friend and the Redheart gave me an idea. My son gave me a Red Bud stump that I've cut some blanks from so I decided to combine Red Bud and Redheart and see what I came up with. I got it turned to size and then decided to bead it for kicks. Finish is the BLO/CA proceedure that I use. Comments/suggestions/criticisms welcome.

Good job! I really enjoy that pen. Are the black parts a standard kit or did you customize them as well? They add immensely to the overall look of the pen.

Standard Black Chrome Cigar Pen kit from Ryan at WoodTurningz. I've thought about trying Powder Coating but can't justify the cost right now.
