Hi Jim!

Those are great looking displays! Do you make the little wire spiral yourself? If so, how do you do it and get it to fit the tips of the various pens? You look pretty happy standing behind that lathe! Nice setup!

Scott.

The wire is 14 gage eletrical wire. I bend it around an old pen holding the top with plires. I do like setting up at showes or where ever I can and make pens. I think by making pens at shows I make 80% more than I wood if I sat behind a table with no lathe.

Jim,
Those are some great looking pens and exceptional stands. That Lilac log sure is huge for a lilac. I checked out your web site and since, I too turn pens had a few questions for you, I e-mailed them to you from the web site.

Take care and keep on turnin'

Neat ideas for stands, Jim. I also agree that if you are making pens while selling pens already made, not only do you pass the time (which can be boring otherwise,) but people are more apt to buy from you if they can see you making them. Keep up the good work.
