after some experimenting, I got the effect I wanted. For some reason the camera is not showing the depth of the colors. I took several pictures and none of them really showed the color depth. Finish is micromesh to 12000, then plastic polish. Right now I can do these in some combination of gold, silver and copper. I found the pigments in our basement, I guess my wife got them for something or other. If anyone is interested I can also get other colors. This is polyresin.

It's always fun to make a pen from one of your own casts. Good work. And until we have 3d pics on the internet, I'll doubt anyone will truly capture the depth that these pens have in person.

Sometimes taking photo's in bright sunlight will help show off the depth, but then you have like thirty different problems come up....and we can see your neighbor walking around outside:eek: in the reflection!

I am always amazed when I turn the 'crust' off these vertical pours and see what comes out!!!! This is a stunner....3D or not!
