I decided to add a clip to the cap of the pen. The cap blew out while turning and ended up having an African Blackwood piece added to it.
I figured while I was adding the cap I would do my best to make an article of how I use a Dremel to cut the slot.

The article is in the 2011 section of the library. Hope you'll check it out and give me some feedback. There is also an article preceeding the hidden clip article that shows the method I use to make this type of pen.

Hope someone gets something out of this. Take what you want and leave the rest! :)

Martin , The clip looks great...Thanks so much for the tutorial about the hidden clip that does not require a laser! It was really detailed and I got the bit you mentioned for my Dremel. It will be a first for me..Thanks for posting the thread as well as the tutorial! Regards, Doc

Glad to do it, Doc. I figure it's about time for me to start giving back. Happy turning. Hope to see some pics.
