Pen for another turner......

Here is a pen I just completed for a trade on another forum. It is a 24k Rinehart dressed in an Amboyna Burl from isaacrapelje. The first cap exploded on me, that was a first but doubt a last. The second cap lost a small piece but I was able to save it with CA and shavings. The finish is 10 coats CA MM to 12,000.

This was a tricky pen for me becasue you put a little more into it when you know it is going to a fellow turner.

After taking the pics I noticed the finish is a little flakey by the finial so I will be taking that apart tomorrow and cleaning it up.
