I finished this one up this evening in hopes of getting it entered in one of the Contests, after struggling with the upload for a half hour I realized the entry closed on mountain time and that I didn't make it in time.

The kit used was a Saturn kit in Antiqued Brass

This was my first attempt at cutting and gluing blanks together (I think this is segmenting but not sure?) The main body of the pen is a piece of Purpleheart and then I glued in some scraps of Turquoise box elder from my first pen and some Bocote left over from Pen #3.

The pen was finished with sanding sealer and friction polished with a homemade mixture of D-limonene and coconut oil. I don't know how durable it will be long term but it smells good and is shiny.

I think it looks great, and it's a segmented pen in my book. It really does look shiny. I'd say even CA shiny judging by the pictures. Time will tell. Great job! :good:
