Had this blank sitting around for quite a while and decided to see how it looked on a Crown Jewel kit. The tube was painted white (of course) to help the pearl stand out. Even so, I'm not quite sure if I like it or not. Maybe it will grow on me, or someone else....

I must say I'm not a fan of the kit, but I do like that blank. Is that something you cast?

No, I didn't cast that one. I bought it a long time ago and decided to use it. The kit is really simple. With the jewel on the top, I feel it lends itself more to an acrylic/PR blank more than wood. At least I only bought two of the kits (1 chrome, 1 24k gold) to give them a try.

Thanks for the response! :)

Don't think the blank would have 'worked' on the 24k, think you picked the right one here!! Nicely finished and the fit looks good from my chair!

The blank looks pretty neat, did you reverse paint anything?

I really like your blank on this one Bob. I am not crazy about this hardware most of the time but with this blank it just works. I think maybe the blank just raises the entire package up. Nice job on it.
