These are from a small limb given to me by a co-worker. His 84 year old mother brought it to him with instructions to give it to that guy that makes stuff. These will go to Freedom Pens.

Hi Terry!

These are all great pens! All three sets of them! These peach ones have such nice grain and color that they remind me of olivewood! Excellent work!

Terry,
Great job on the freedom pens. This may sound stupid but I would like to know if the wood smelled like peaches as you turned it? I've noticed that some wood has a distinct smell of the tree or fruit it gives when turning.

I didn't notice any peach smell as I turned this wood. I will say that it is a real pleasure to turn.

The banding is Corian. I make these a couple hundred at a time. I use thin CA, wrap in wax paper and clamp overnight using clamping cauls. It helps to have a Hammond Glider. I can cut very thin strips with little waste. Got the Corian here. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=20167
