Pair of Stratus in Maple Burl

[Brotherdale]

I made a pair of Stratus pens. Which for now is my personal favorite and what I carry daily. The wood is maple burl that I stabilized and dyed peacock blue.
I did the bottom one first then added more cactus juice to my dye mix for the top one to let more brown from the wood show.

Beautiful pens! I have yet to dye anything I'm stabilizing - I tried once with the wrong dye and it didn't take, but every time I see something like this it makes me want to give it another shot. What did you use for the peacock blue?

I used Alumalite dye from Turntex.com.
