I made a couple of Spalted Curly Mango Statesman fountain pens today. One closed-end & one regular. Wood from Arizona Silhouette finish CA/BLO. Comments welcomed, good bad or otherwise.

WOW!
Beautiful work Joe. Those are two awesome looking pens.
The grain looks great and your fit and finish is top notch.

Thank you very much for sharing them with us.

Great job! I have a Spalted Mango pen in my photo album but the wood looks NOTHING like yours. Must be some great diversity in the species. Either that or one of us has something else.[?]

Very nice job and nice wood too, I know Bill at AS stabalizes his Mango and some of them he adds color too, I supply Bill at AS with Mango and other Hawaiian woods and I still have plenty of curly Mango but mine are not stabalized, aloha.
